Aspire Blencathra at Ullswater Heights gets a super deck!

When getting involved on a bespoke build of this magnitude your customer has to have complete trust in your ability to create a space which understands every aspect of their needs. Luckily our customer has exactly that and the result speaks for itself.

The Aspire Blencathra Super Lodge has every aspect of luxury lodge life covered and to live up to that it requires an unrivalled outdoor space like no other.

The brief was to create a space to incorporate a swim spa and a dining/ entertaining area which flowed seamlessly with the lodge and its amazing views over the quarry.

There is a video on our facebook page showing a simple snapshot of how the build came together. There were many challenges along the way but none too great for the experienced team from AB Sundecks.

The first fit was so complex but once that had been achieved the rest just came together like a jigsaw. The swim spa was the first to be positioned and working around that gave the team a good platform to move out from and realise the complexity and size of the build ahead. The sloping walkway was a late addition to the original designs. The groundwork was intended to rise up to meet the deck but it made more sense to have a safe walkway incorporated instead.

The steel sub frame, a signature feature of any AB Sundeck, was methodically put together on site by the team who make it look so easy. This concept is what gives AB Sundecks the peace of mind that all of their decks will remain structurally sound for years and years.
