AB Sundecks build a rising boat pontoon on the River Ouse

As we all know rivers are liable to rise and fall quite dramatically and the Rive Ouse in York is no exception.

With this in mind AB Sundecks were tasked to build a boat mooring with a walkway to rise and fall with the water level in the customers garden.

Different to the usual holiday home and garden decks that we are used to but definitely a project we were happy to get involved with. We used the same techniques here as used in our decking products and commissioned one of our suppliers to create the moving components of the walkway.

Designed and manufactured in our factory all parts where then shipped to the installation address ready for the team to put together.

Despite the water being wet the weather stayed dry and although our team did most of the build on land they did have to enter the water to put the final pieces in place. Not a wet sock in sight though!
