We believe that the sub frame is the single most important component to any deck. Although, initially a timber frame may seem like a more cost effective alternative to steel the long term benefits are significantly less. Timber encased in PVC rots at an accelerated rate and cannot be treated without dismantling. It also has a damaging effect on the environment unless sourced from a sustainable supply. Our steel frames are 100% recyclable and are so durable and strong they outperform our guarantee year after year.
Our signature steel subframe is one component which sets us apart from other decking companies who use traditional wood as a build base. We never use wood in any of our decks so that we can continue to produce a range of decking that will outperform any of its wooden counterparts without the need for continual seasonal repairs. Our galvanised steel frame is formed and cut in-house giving us complete quality control at all times and allows us to manufacture decks of all dimensions at the push of a button. What's more, as our steel is 100% recyclable, our manufacturing process is much kinder to the environment.
All of our sundecks are built using salt air treated steel screws and zinc plated hexagonal bolts. We use durable PVC connectors to provide double strength to joints. All of our fixings are concealed leaving a completely streamline finish to the sundeck. We have far exceeded our 10 year structural guarantee and are 100% satisfied that our very first sundecks are still structurally sound to this day.
Our PVC posts and handrails are reinforced with galvanised steel giving them the extra strength and support that is synonymous with all AB Sundecks. All of our posts are fixed with a series of zinc plated hexagonal bolts configured to give the maximum support and are concealed within the structure to cement the streamlined appearance of our sundecks. Our post designs are exclusively owned by AB Sundecks and have been compassionately designed to provide ultimate comfort, grip and appearance.

Our 100% PVC deck board is exclusive to AB Sundecks and has a distinct wood grain effect which matures over time leaving a beautiful finish. Our weatherboards are a new generation of maintenance-free external flooring. Taken from hand-picked wood samples that are over 100 years old they look as beautiful and warm as natural timber, but have no wood content.
Our AB Exclusive PVC handrails and our standard PVC handrails are available in all colours and can be combined with a wide variety of pickets or glass to suit your desires.
The choice of handrails for your AB Sundeck is almost endless, and you have the freedom to mix and match however you please to achieve your desired finish. Choose from our basic square handrail with box or diamond picket or or our brand new and exclusive fluted rails and picket system.
Our AB Exclusive PVC handrails and our standard PVC handrails are available in all colours and can be combined with a wide variety of pickets or glass to suit your desires.
For those locations with a breath-taking view why not choose from our marine grade stainless steel AIS 316 range. This can be used with or without a top rail and you may choose a satin or mirror polished finish for that more prestigious look.
Our 10mm polished edge toughened glass is the minimum we will use on any application or project and can be added in clear, bronzed or grey tint, or acid etched where privacy is required. We also offer a full range of colour screen printed glass made to order.
AB Sundecks have been installing access ramps for many years and understand how important it is for customers to have access in various applications including; residential homes, holiday homes, gardens and commercial properties.
We provide a low maintenance access solution with an express installation service when necessary.
All ramps have a minimum gradient of 1:12 whenever achievable and follow the recommended guidelines.
Whilst accessing your holiday home isn’t governed by the DDA, AB Sundecks always recommends that customers and park operators follow regulations.

All of our steps are fully enclosed and you can choose from our three tread access, which comes as standard with most decks, or a bespoke design manufactured to your requirements including sail steps and double width options.
