This week we have been working on something very different and very special!
We have been building fire escape access steps for Westhoughton Lions Rugby Club’s Clubhouse! We are extremely honoured to have been given the opportunity to help Westhoughton Lions to achieve their goals and are proud to say that we helped their dream become a reality.
Westhoughton Lions Rugby Club was established 25 years ago in Bolton, predominantly known as a football town. Since then, they have grown from a small club of only a handful of players, to a club that boasts over 250 playing members.
The club have been working tirelessly to complete their dream of having their own clubhouse where they can provide warm showers and after match food for their players and visitors, and they thought that they had achieved this. Unfortunately, as a result of the global pandemic, they lost a huge amount of funding which put a lot of doubt over the half-completed project.
Over the last 12 months the club’s volunteers have worked so hard to recover their huge shortfall by reaching out to the local community, businesses and the support of their members. The club are now almost at the point where the new clubhouse is ready for use, which wouldn’t have happened without the unbelievable support that they have received. Now they cannot wait to welcome people down once everything has been completed.
