What do you do when you need to moor your boat but can't because the water levels rise and fall by 6 feet?
You call AB Sundecks!!
We aren't just here to deck your gardens and lodges. Our repertoire extends much further than you think and in this instance all the way to the River Ouse in the beautiful city of York.
An unusual request but one we knew we could help with.
Our client got in touch with AB Sundecks when he wanted to move his luxury speedboat into his back garden, which happened to sit on the banks of the great River Ouse.
His concern was being able to enjoy his boat from the privacy of his own home. However, accessing the river from the garden when the rise and fall of the water was as vast as 6 feet was proving to be a problem.
In step AB Sundecks to offer the perfect solution... a floating pontoon with safe walkway access which would also rise and fall with the water whilst being anchored to the ground.
The logistics of the plan were devised in the pub on the back of a beermat... where all best plans come together. Once the moving part of the mechanism was devised the rest was easy.
We instructed our strongest and sturdiest installers who had an absolute blast putting our designs into action. A hinged walkway and a floating pontoon made with our low maintenance deck boards built to withstand the weather and the tides.
The result was a very happy customer who can now step out onto his boat with no fear of falling in the water or indeed damaging his vessel. Success...
